About the position

The Senior Consultant in the Human Services Transformation group at Deloitte plays a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing mission-critical health and human services benefit systems. This position focuses on integrating innovative technology solutions to improve customer strategy, digital design, and platform development for federal, state, and local government agencies, as well as higher education institutions. The consultant will manage a team, ensure the health of these systems, and directly interact with executive-level stakeholders to solve complex business challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the health and maintenance of mission-critical health and human services benefit systems.
  • Inform and manage the enhancement of these systems as program policies change and operational procedures evolve.
  • Lead an application team consisting of track leads, business analysts, system analysts, developers, testers, and other system support staff.
  • Manage the end-to-end Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process for the maintenance and enhancement of health and human services systems.
  • Identify and solve problems using analysis, experience, and judgment.
  • Perform analysis and diagnosis of client issues.
  • Demonstrate a foundational understanding of the client environment and overall project scope.
  • Interact directly with management and executive-level client stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of consulting experience within Government Health & Human Services such as Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, Child Care subsidies, Long Term Supports and Services, Child Support, Child Welfare, or Unemployment Assistance.
  • 6+ years of experience with health human services policy and mandates.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to travel 20 - 50%, on average, based on the work and clients served.
