About the position

This position is responsible for developing, managing, and streamlining inventory accounting and reporting on a global scale. The role involves overseeing inventory accounting processes, assisting local finance teams with technical accounting matters, and participating in various projects as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate global inventory accounting and reporting.
  • Review monthly inventory balance sheet positions for anomalies.
  • Participate in quarterly inventory analysis review process for all entities.
  • Develop a plan to ensure all entities reserve balances are reviewed annually.
  • Coordinate with local finance leads to obtain variance commentary for quarterly closing processes.
  • Roll out the Company's standard inventory reserve analysis template across all entities.
  • Oversee the Company's annual lower of cost of net realizable value (LCNRV) testing.
  • Develop and implement inventory accounting and reporting policies.
  • Identify and implement processes and best practices for inventory accounting and reporting.
  • Assist with due diligence and post-close integrations related to inventory accounting and reporting.
  • Gather and validate supporting workpapers for opening balance sheet positions for acquisitions.
  • Review and perform budget vs. actual variance analysis for U.S. Core businesses.
  • Provide support for miscellaneous Corporate Finance activities as requested.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Ten (10) or more years of accounting experience, most recently in a management capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles including SEC reporting and inventory accounting.
  • Strong analytical abilities and command of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated professional achievement and client service excellence.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree or global equivalent preferred.
  • Two or more industry certifications.
