About the position

The Compensation Analyst at Alexandra Lozano Immigration Law plays a crucial role in assessing and enhancing the organization's pay structure for employees. This position involves researching compensation trends, evaluating job requirements, and ensuring competitive salaries and benefits for the Latino immigrant community. The analyst will work closely with management to provide insights and recommendations on compensation policies and practices, contributing to the overall mission of the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and maintains job descriptions for each position in the organization.
  • Interviews and surveys employees and managers to gather and document job, organizational, and occupational information.
  • Assesses jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt and appropriate salary range.
  • Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges.
  • Prepares and maintains job classifications and salary scales.
  • Prepares and presents summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.
  • Gathers data from market-based compensation surveys and uses data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends.
  • Evaluates and implements job analysis instruments and materials.
  • Conducts data and cost analyses for employee negotiations and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Researches employee benefits in similar industries and recommends changes to existing benefits or policies.
  • Works with insurance brokers and investment planners to create competitive benefits packages.
  • Conducts focus groups to collect employee feedback on benefits and compensation issues.
  • Plans and communicates best practices for hiring, training, compensating, and evaluating employees.
  • Advises management on employment regulations, benefits and compensation policies, and human resource procedures.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least three years of experience in compensation analysis.
  • Experience working with US & LATAM in compensation is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
  • Extensive knowledge of human resource laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
