About the position

The US Marketing Director, Public Sector at Schneider Electric is responsible for defining and executing the marketing and communications strategy for the public sector, including state, local, and education markets. This strategic role aims to increase revenue contribution through effective marketing campaigns, go-to-market strategies, and collaborative sales efforts. The director will enhance brand awareness and preference for Schneider solutions among key decision-makers and partners in the public sector, focusing on customer engagement and retention programs.

Responsibilities

  • Create a segment marketing strategy to support the strategic annual growth plan and update quarterly.
  • Develop Unique Value Proposition and positioning in prioritized end-markets.
  • Partner with Channel and Segment teams to define marketing programs that drive expansion and loyalty.
  • Develop public affairs communications strategy to drive engagement and preference for Schneider Electric.
  • Manage Voice of Customer programs to define buying behaviors and market trends.
  • Own and manage the marketing promotional budget.
  • Ensure optimized integrated marketing mix to align with commercial market segments.
  • Define, monitor, and manage key performance indicators and dashboards.
  • Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and identity to target audiences.
  • Develop and execute lead generation initiatives, including content marketing and events.
  • Manage digital marketing campaigns across various channels to increase brand visibility.
  • Develop PR, AR, Influencer and Executive communications plans.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to provide necessary tools and resources for effective communication.
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to align marketing strategies with business goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications.
  • Minimum 10 years of B2B product vertical marketing, sales, and/or strategy experience.
  • Strong knowledge of current market trends in public sector, utilities, IT, and Data Center markets.
  • Proven track record of developing innovative and disruptive programs.
  • High degree of initiative and pro-active management.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically 50%.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a positive attitude.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders.
  • Highly collaborative team player.
