About the position

As the US Marketing Director at Elvie, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the marketing strategy and execution plans that drive awareness and engagement with the Elvie brand in the United States. This position is crucial for supporting our commercial strategies and targets in our largest revenue market. You will report directly to the Global Brand Marketing Director and act as the primary advocate for the US market, responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive marketing campaigns from initial briefing through to execution and evaluation. Your expertise in both disruptive brand building and product-focused communications will be essential in creating campaigns that not only drive incremental sales growth but also enhance brand perception and market share. In this role, you will lead the development of the Elvie marketing strategy tailored for the US, ensuring alignment with the global strategy while defining local customer profiles through a culturally informed approach. You will manage the overall US marketing budget, ensuring it meets the market's commercial goals while simultaneously building the brand. Your innovative mindset will be key in exploring non-traditional marketing avenues to enhance brand objectives, allowing you to remain agile and proactive across various US channels, including campaigns, experiential marketing, and partnership activations. You will also be responsible for managing external agencies to execute go-to-market plans, including new product launches, public relations, and trade marketing initiatives. Collaboration with the Global brand marketing teams will be vital to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the brand's go-to-market strategy, messaging, and content strategy for campaigns. Monthly reporting on business performance and marketing campaign results will be part of your responsibilities, providing insights into competitor activity and using these learnings to inform future strategies. Additionally, you will lead the US marketing team, which consists of three members overseeing Trade, PR, and integrated marketing. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration, ensuring that the team is aligned with Elvie's mission and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute clear and compelling marketing plans for Elvie US to drive incremental sales growth, share gains, and positive brand attributes.
  • Develop and deliver the Elvie marketing strategy for the USA in alignment with the global strategy, defining local customer profiles with a cultural led approach.
  • Accountable for the overall US marketing budget, ensuring it delivers against the market's commercial goals while building the brand.
  • Proven experience in developing innovative and non-traditional go-to-market strategies to enhance brand objectives across US channels.
  • Create engaging campaigns that disrupt the women's FemTech landscape and generate buzz.
  • Manage external agencies to execute go-to-market plans including new product launches, public relations, experiential, and trade marketing.
  • Forge a close partnership with the Global brand marketing teams to ensure a deep understanding of the brand's GTM strategy and messaging approach.
  • Responsible for monthly reporting outlining business performance and marketing campaign results, with insights on competitor activity.
  • Work in partnership with the InDirect team and the US Direct Director to maximize channel-specific activations.
  • Lead strategic marketing initiatives aligned with Elvie's objectives by elevating insights about culture, trends, innovation, and consumers.
  • Conduct strategic analysis for the US market landscape and competitive intelligence of target markets.
  • Identify strategic opportunities and customer demands to maximize returns on marketing investment.
  • Manage the US marketing team, including line management of three team members overseeing Trade, PR, and integrated marketing.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior marketing role with 6-8 years of experience.
  • Desirable to have experience working with Global marketing teams, but not essential.
  • Enthusiasm and drive to jump in and get things done, with the ability to think outside the box and problem-solve.
  • Passion and interest in maternal wellbeing.
