About the position

The US Operations Manager will oversee all operational aspects within the United States for a leading firearms manufacturer. This role focuses on enhancing productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction while ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, particularly in the manufacturing or firearms industry, and will work closely with sales to drive market growth.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the US division, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to drive productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and distribution partners to ensure timely delivery and inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with all US federal, state, and local regulations related to firearms manufacturing, distribution, and sales.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to support market expansion and growth initiatives in the US market.
  • Monitor operational performance through KPIs and metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Oversee the implementation of a comprehensive system to measure and enhance manufacturing efficiency within a machine shop and assembly operation.
  • Manage budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control measures to optimize operational costs.
  • Lead and mentor a team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
  • Ensure customer service excellence by addressing operational issues and enhancing customer experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, with experience in the firearms, manufacturing, or related industry preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of US regulations and compliance regarding firearms manufacturing and distribution.
  • Knowledge of U.S. importation and exportation related to firearms preferred.
  • Knowledge of FET quarterly filings related to firearms preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage complex supply chains and work with vendors and distributors.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and operational reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in operations management software and tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Fluency in Spanish.
