In this role, you will execute local sales plans and strategies in alignment with the SBU strategy to maintain and develop existing customers while acquiring new ones. You will be responsible for developing and executing action plans for each customer based on their roadmap, delivering sales and distribution targets in your territory, and building strong relationships with customers and distributors. Communication with the NDAM/Sales team regarding specific customer tasks and priorities will be essential, as well as coordinating with technical customer service to conduct line trials and resolve customer requests and complaints. You will also execute pricing and promotional actions, manage distributor salesforces, and ensure excellence at the point of sale, including merchandising and brand representation in stores. Conducting field visits to follow up on store implementations and promotions, managing customer orders, negotiating agreements, and handling administrative tasks related to reporting and contract management will be part of your daily responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Executes local sales plans and strategy in line with SBU strategy to maintain and develop existing and acquire new customers
  • Develops and executes action plan for each customer based on customer roadmap
  • Delivers sales and distribution targets (KP OSG and PC %/GP %) in territory/at defined account
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with customers and distributors
  • Communicates with NDAM/Sales team on specific customers tasks and priorities
  • Coordinates with technical customer service to conduct line trials and resolve customer requests and complaints
  • Executes pricing and promotional actions
  • Executes KAM strategy (listing, promotions)
  • Manages and/or steers distributor salesforce/3rd Party Representation
  • Ensures execution in excellence at point of sales; ensures merchandising and brand representation in stores/salons
  • Conducts field, market, jobsite or store visits; follows up on store implementation/promotion, in-store stock levels, identifies gaps
  • Coordinates education implementation and sales impact with technical advisors
  • Takes and processes customer orders; negotiates customer agreements; carries out admin tasks related to reporting and contract management

Requirements

  • Four (4) year college degree required
  • Previous direct sales experience in the industrial market is required
  • Ability to travel 90% of the time is required, including both car and plane travel
  • Must feel comfortable making cold calls and actively pursuing new business relationships
  • Preference will be given to candidates that are located within a commutable distance to Dallas, TX
  • Computer literacy is required; familiarity with CRM systems preferred
  • Time and territory management skills
  • Strong communication skills
