About the position

Let's be #BrilliantTogether! ISS Stoxx is hiring a Research Associate for the ISS governance research team. This role will join a dynamic team that delivers objective governance research and recommendations, trusted by institutional investors to apply their corporate governance views, identify environmental, social, and governance risks, and manage their complete proxy voting needs on a global basis. We will make you a governance expert through training and exciting career opportunities. The Research Associate will primarily focus on the US market and learn to analyze and apply ISS policy on executive compensation proposals, shareholder proposals, director elections, and several corporate governance issues relevant to the U.S. market. You will distill financial, corporate governance, and compensation information to be included in research reports for institutional investors detailing ISS vote recommendations and rationale, consistent with the publicly available ISS benchmark policy guidelines. Additionally, you will learn to understand and distill information from SEC filings (10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, DEF 14As) and other company disclosures to be used as source materials for the analysis and proxy vote recommendations of ISS reports. You will also be responsible for answering internal/external client/issuer queries on research reports and discussing policy issues in detail, as well as researching policy-related issues and collaborating within the team and across different functions as part of the process to update policy documents and other initiatives.
