About the position

PointClickCare is seeking an entry-level Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our dynamic sales team. This role is pivotal in supporting a Senior Sales Executive and involves daily interactions with prospective customers in the healthcare industry. The SDR will play a crucial role in the company's business development efforts, which includes establishing initial contact with potential customers and facilitating follow-up activities that lead to new business opportunities. The primary responsibility of the SDR will be to schedule conference calls and meetings for the Vice President of Sales with prospects who may not yet be familiar with our company. This position is based in Salt Lake City, Utah, but is open to remote candidates living in North America. In this role, you will develop a strong understanding of the healthcare industry and research potential prospects to create a strategic outreach plan in collaboration with the Vice President of Sales. You will engage in cold calling and emailing to schedule meetings and conference calls, targeting prospective ED Medical Directors, CMOs, and other healthcare executives through strategic planning and execution. Effective communication with prospective customers, including chief healthcare executives, will be essential, utilizing creative outreach methods via email and phone. The SDR will be expected to achieve weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals by scheduling meetings and appointments for the Vice President of Sales with prospective customers. Additionally, you will prepare background material and conduct market research in preparation for all sales meetings and appointments. Post-sales meeting follow-up will also be part of your responsibilities, including scheduling follow-up calls and assisting with the new customer sales process. Maintaining an internal database to track key performance metrics and sales and marketing activities will be crucial, as will managing calendaring, logistics, and administrative responsibilities for all aspects of the sales process for the Vice President of Sales. Special projects may also be assigned as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
