About the position

The Analyst II, Quality Engineer - Supply Chain position is focused on leading process improvement initiatives within a Distribution Center. The role involves utilizing various process improvement tools and methodologies such as 5S, root cause analysis, six sigma, and time and motion studies to eliminate quality losses and deviations. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering expected results through Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analysis, loss elimination, and the creation of standard work to reduce process variation. This position also requires assisting with the review and response of quality-focused process improvement projects owned by area managers, as well as compiling and submitting deviations to existing One Best Way playbooks. In addition, the Analyst II will provide input to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams on project ideation and replication opportunities. The role includes assisting with the tactical deployment of the Quality Excellence WPS program methodology and managing project execution of top quality losses in the functional area. The candidate will also support Department Managers with WPS programs, projects, associate engagement, and KPI improvements within the process area. Leading quality-related savings projects and promoting company policies, initiatives, and standards of ethics and integrity are also key responsibilities. The position requires building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders, identifying business needs, and adapting to competing demands and organizational changes. The Analyst II will also provide supervision and development opportunities for associates, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This role is integral to the continuous improvement of processes and the overall quality management system within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead process improvement tools and methods to eliminate quality losses and deviations in a Distribution Center.
  • Deliver expected functional area results through KPI analysis and loss elimination.
  • Assist with the review and response of quality-focused process improvement projects owned by area managers.
  • Compile and submit deviations to existing One Best Way playbooks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or prior experience in Quality or Process Improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong analytical skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Co-Op/Internship in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Distribution with experience applying basic Lean/Continuous Improvement Tools.
  • Applied knowledge of a functioning Quality Management System elements including Statistical Process Control, FMEA, Quality KPIs.
