About the position

The position focuses on ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations while promoting operational excellence and data literacy within the organization. The role involves implementing technology changes, conducting risk assessments, and supporting training initiatives to enhance employee knowledge and safety practices. The individual will also be responsible for asset protection and security measures, as well as fostering partnerships and collaboration across departments to achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Articulates the levers that influence data and ensures data quality.
  • Develops and implements technology changes across multiple processes.
  • Operates tools for evaluating air, water, and waste pollution.
  • Supports regulatory visits and prepares audit reports for management review.
  • Participates in evaluating pollution control and management at assigned facility.
  • Assists in integrating environmental considerations into process design.
  • Explains operational functions and key roles of assigned department.
  • Identifies primary operational functions of the organization.
  • Owns the delivery of project activity and tasks assigned by others.
  • Participates in OSHA and other regulatory inspections.
  • Maintains health and safety records according to OSHA guidelines.
  • Works with tools used for theft prevention and investigates security breaches.
  • Supports the activities of instructors in training programs.
  • Produces and interprets common risk assessment and management reports.
  • Defines critical workflows for executing key processes and implements improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety Management, Criminal Justice, Security, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • 2 years' experience in Environmental, Health and Safety or Asset Protection, Security within Supply Chain, Retail.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 or More Degreed Certifications (Associate Safety Professional; Loss Prevention Certifications, Certified Security Professional).
  • 2 or more years of investigative experience or asset protection experience in retail or warehouse.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; SharePoint and OneDrive.
