Responsibilities

  • Drive sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation.
  • Assess economic trends and community needs.
  • Oversee stocking and rotation of merchandise.
  • Set up, clean, and organize product displays.
  • Secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
  • Lead and develop teams by teaching and training associates.
  • Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations.
  • Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards.
  • Manage and support customer service initiatives.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates.
  • Control unexplained loss of merchandise and improve profitability.
  • Conduct operational and pre-inventory reviews.
  • Investigate alleged fraud and other illegal activities.
  • Monitor safety and risk controls within the facility.
  • Manage claims and receiving operations.

Requirements

  • Completion of 2 years of college.
  • 1 year's experience as a supervisor in a multi-department environment.
  • 1 year's experience in accounting, claims, inventory control, systems/UPC, personnel, or loss prevention/asset protection in a multi-department environment.
  • 2 years' experience in asset protection or related area.
  • Successful completion of any applicable state requirements to work in asset protection.
  • Acquisition of a current, state issued Certificate of Eligibility (if applicable).
  • Successful completion of criminal background check and/or firearms authorized training (if applicable).

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership.
  • Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership.
  • Certification in an asset protection related field.
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports.
  • Investigative experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Criminal Justice.
