About the position
As a Cake Decorator at Sam's Club, you will enhance member service by delivering high-quality bakery products while collaborating with team members to meet customer expectations. This role involves planning bakery production, ensuring food safety standards, and utilizing digital tools to improve the shopping experience. You will also drive performance in the bakery area, assist members with their purchasing decisions, and advocate for a positive member experience.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to educate associates on tools and resources for customer service.
- Plan bakery productions ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of decorative designs.
- Follow recipe measurement instructions and work with various decorating tools to create designs on bakery items.
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and inventory management.
- Operate, maintain, and sanitize bakery equipment while demonstrating product knowledge.
- Leverage digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience.
- Drive performance in the bakery area by ensuring quality and date control standards.
- Assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve any issues or concerns they may have.
- Model high-quality service and products as a brand advocate for the bakery.
- Complete work assignments by collaborating with managers and co-workers, identifying priorities, and communicating progress.
Requirements
- 6 months' experience in a fresh production area.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
