About the position

The position involves leading and developing teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. Responsibilities include touring stores and providing feedback, communicating and collaborating with all levels of associates regarding store operations, and introducing and leading company change efforts. The role also requires providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicating business objectives to teams effectively. Exceptional customer service standards must be modeled and demonstrated to store associates, managing customer service initiatives, ensuring customer needs are met, and developing action plans to correct deficiencies. Financial performance and sales of the designated store area are driven by reviewing P&L statements, managing budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses, and ensuring effective merchandise presentation and operational processes. The position also involves supervising and developing hourly associates, ensuring compliance with company policies, and supporting the company mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, and listening to associates.
  • Tour stores and provide feedback to improve operations.
  • Communicate and collaborate with associates regarding store operations and business initiatives.
  • Introduce and lead company change efforts effectively.
  • Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards to associates.
  • Manage customer service initiatives and ensure customer needs are met.
  • Drive financial performance by reviewing P&L statements and managing budgets.
  • Ensure effective merchandise presentation and operational processes.
  • Supervise and develop hourly associates through hiring, training, and mentoring.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and support the company mission and values.

Requirements

  • 2 years of college; OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience; OR 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience.
  • Successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training for facilities that sell firearms.
  • Attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments.
