About the position

As a leader at Walmart, you will be responsible for developing and managing teams effectively by employing a variety of strategies including teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. You will tour stores to provide feedback, communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, and utilize technology to drive business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Your role will involve introducing and leading company change efforts, providing clear expectations, and guiding teams to implement business solutions while effectively communicating business objectives. In addition to team leadership, you will model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards to store associates by adhering to the One Best Way (OBW) service model. This includes managing and supporting customer service initiatives, ensuring customer needs and complaints are resolved, and developing action plans to correct deficiencies. You will also provide leadership in process improvement to ensure a high-quality customer experience. Financial performance and sales will be a key focus of your role. You will review and evaluate Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, assist in budgeting and forecasting, and control expenses to ensure they align with sales. Monitoring effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, and inventory flow will be essential, as will developing action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals. You will provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring them. Setting clear expectations, providing recognition, and ensuring diversity and inclusion awareness will be part of your responsibilities. You will coordinate job-related activities by developing relationships with key stakeholders and supporting plans to meet customer and business needs. Compliance with company policies and procedures will be crucial, and you will implement action plans to uphold the company's mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 2 years of college; OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience.
  • Successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training may be required for facilities that sell firearms.
  • Attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments.
