About the position

The position involves leading and developing teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. Responsibilities include touring stores and providing feedback, communicating and collaborating with all levels of associates regarding store operations, and introducing and leading company change efforts. The role also requires providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions, as well as communicating business objectives to teams effectively. Exceptional customer service standards must be modeled and demonstrated to store associates, managing customer service initiatives, ensuring customer needs are met, and developing action plans to correct deficiencies. Financial performance and sales of the designated store area are driven by reviewing P&L statements, managing budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses, and ensuring effective merchandise presentation. The position also involves supervising and developing hourly associates, ensuring compliance with company policies, and supporting the company mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and develops teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates.
  • Tours stores and provides feedback to improve operations.
  • Communicates and collaborates with associates regarding store operations.
  • Introduces and leads company change efforts.
  • Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards.
  • Manages customer service initiatives and resolves customer issues.
  • Drives financial performance by reviewing P&L statements and managing budgets.
  • Ensures effective merchandise presentation and inventory flow.
  • Supervises and develops hourly associates through hiring, training, and mentoring.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and supports company values.

Requirements

  • 2 years of college; OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience.
  • Successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training may be required for facilities that sell firearms.
  • Attendance and successful completion of all job-required trainings and assessments.
