About the position

The position involves leading and developing teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. Responsibilities include touring stores and providing feedback, communicating and collaborating with associates regarding store operations, and introducing and leading company change efforts. Responsibilities

  • Leads and develops teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates.
  • Tours stores and provides feedback to associates.
  • Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations.
  • Introduces and leads company change efforts.
  • Provides clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions.
  • Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards.
  • Manages and supports customer service initiatives.
  • Drives financial performance and sales by reviewing and evaluating P&L statements.
  • Manages budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
  • Ensures effective merchandise presentation and inventory flow.
  • Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink.
  • Supervises and develops hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 2 years of college; OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience; OR 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience.
  • Successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training for facilities that sell firearms.
  • Attendance and successful completion of all job-required trainings and assessments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership.
  • Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership.
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports.
