About the position

The Director of Learning and Development (Digital Learning) at Walmart is responsible for overseeing digital learning initiatives across the enterprise. Responsibilities

  • Develop training strategies by evaluating business needs and assessing training impacts.
  • Oversee the development of training materials and ensure content formatting and brand consistency.
  • Manage training projects, including capacity planning and content development.
  • Oversee associate development by mentoring team members and reviewing recommended solutions.
  • Direct the development of training programs by researching learner needs and creating blended learning options.
  • Provide overall direction by analyzing business objectives and measuring outcomes.
  • Develop strategies to attract and maintain a skilled workforce by diagnosing capability gaps and supporting mentorship.
  • Cultivate an environment of integrity by integrating company standards into all programs.
  • Develop and leverage partnerships to maximize business goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications, Education, or related field.
  • 5 years' experience in adult learning, training content development, or related area, or 7 years' experience in a related area.
  • Experience managing learning and development programs.
  • Experience with digital learning and learning technology.
