About the position

In this leadership role, you will be responsible for effectively leading and developing teams by employing a hands-on approach that includes teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. You will tour stores to provide constructive feedback, communicate and collaborate with associates at all levels regarding store operations, and utilize technology to support business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Your role will also involve introducing and leading company change efforts, providing clear expectations, and guiding teams in implementing business solutions while effectively communicating business objectives. You will model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards to store associates by adhering to the One Best Way (OBW) service model. This includes managing and supporting customer service initiatives, ensuring customer needs and complaints are addressed, and developing action plans to correct deficiencies. You will provide leadership in process improvement to ensure a high-quality customer experience, driving the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating P&L statements, managing budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring effective merchandise presentation and inventory flow. As a leader, you will provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring them. You will assign duties, set clear expectations, and recognize associate contributions while ensuring diversity and inclusion awareness. Your responsibilities will also include coordinating job-related activities, developing relationships with key stakeholders, and supporting plans to meet customer and business needs. You will ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting the company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. The annual salary range for this position is between $65,000.00 and $80,000.00, with additional compensation based on performance and other factors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates.
  • Tour stores and provide feedback to improve operations.
  • Communicate and collaborate with associates regarding store operations and business initiatives.
  • Introduce and lead company change efforts effectively.
  • Provide clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions.
  • Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards to store associates.
  • Manage and support customer service initiatives, ensuring customer needs are met.
  • Develop and implement action plans to correct deficiencies in customer service.
  • Drive financial performance and sales by reviewing and evaluating P&L statements.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses in designated business area.
  • Monitor merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, and inventory flow.
  • Develop action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates.
  • Hire, train, and mentor associates, setting clear expectations and providing recognition.
  • Ensure diversity and inclusion awareness among associates.
  • Coordinate and oversee job-related activities and assignments with key stakeholders.
  • Support plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 2 years of college education; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check and Firearms Authorized Training may be required for facilities selling firearms.
  • Completion of all job-required trainings and assessments.
