About the position

The position involves supervising and developing hourly associates at Walmart by hiring, training, and mentoring them. The role focuses on setting clear expectations, providing recognition, and ensuring diversity and inclusion awareness. It also includes leading teams effectively, managing customer service initiatives, driving financial performance, and implementing business solutions to enhance the customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring them.
• Assign duties and set clear expectations for associates.
• Provide recognition and communicate expectations consistently and effectively.
• Ensure diversity and inclusion awareness among associates.
• Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates.
• Tour stores and provide feedback to improve operations.
• Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations.
• Introduce and lead company change efforts effectively.
• Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards to store associates.
• Manage and support customer service initiatives and resolve customer issues.
• Drive financial performance by reviewing and evaluating P&L statements.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses in the designated business area.
• Monitor merchandise presentation, inventory flow, and operational processes.
• Develop and implement action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.

Requirements

• 2 years of college; OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience; OR 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience.
• Successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training may be required for facilities that sell firearms.
