About the position

The position involves overseeing the operations of a facility, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, managing financial aspects, and leading a team of associates. The role requires effective communication with various stakeholders and participation in community engagement activities. The individual will be responsible for developing and implementing business plans to achieve facility goals and drive continuous improvements in operations.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g. customers, suppliers, associates).
  • Drive, develop, and oversee implementation of the business plan for the facility to achieve facility goals.
  • Ensure associate, customer, and supplier concerns are resolved by thoroughly investigating and making decisions based on facts.
  • Monitor and ensure facility-wide compliance with Logistics and company quality and safety standards.
  • Manage financial aspects for the facility by approving and tracking expenses compared to budget.
  • Review and approve forecasted staffing plans to ensure they meet business demands.
  • Serve as a community liaison by participating in local and community organizations and charitable activities.
  • Supervise and direct the facility's associates and leaders by giving direction, communicating goals, and monitoring performance.
  • Lead and direct the facility's leadership by setting direction and ensuring it is carried out.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management).
  • 3 years experience in a senior management role within an operations/distribution/logistics environment.
  • Experience supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors.
  • Experience managing workload and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide.
