About the position

The HUB Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating vessel appointments routed through the Service Centre, ensuring that the requirements of both the principal and the vessel are met. This role focuses on delivering exceptional service to clients and Inchcape Shipping Services, while adhering to standard operating procedures and maintaining compliance with various regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and comply with requirements as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for service delivery of the Hub.
  • Monitor Group Email for message management for service delivery.
  • Coordinate vessel calls with local agents and stakeholders to optimize the port call without any delays or additional costs.
  • Monitor local agency performance and ensure service delivery standards where required.
  • Engage stakeholders and build relationships.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with KPIs and cost savings, recording the data.
  • Ensure compliance with principal requests, procedures, policies, and contractual requirements.
  • Carry out any other duties as requested by management.
  • Adhere to all internal ISS processes and procedures.
  • Report all accidents, incidents, and near misses.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in Maritime Transportation or related major preferred.
  • Prior knowledge of Maritime operations, local law, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with terminal representatives and vessels.
  • Ability to work under pressure and balance multiple tasks across different time zones.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in marine agency field desired, but not required.
  • Transitioning military personnel and veterans are encouraged to apply.
