About the position

The Maintenance Operations Manager oversees and manages the productivity of the maintenance department within an eCommerce logistics environment at Walmart. This role involves ensuring that daily operations are performed effectively, managing staff, and driving performance improvements to meet facility goals. The manager is responsible for compliance with regulations, mentoring team members, and implementing operational improvements to enhance efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage productivity of the maintenance department by analyzing business reports and managing staffing.
  • Ensure daily operations are performed properly by monitoring maintenance of warehouse equipment and compliance with regulations.
  • Manage associates by providing direction, monitoring performance, and identifying training needs.
  • Drive the business plan to achieve facility goals by implementing operational improvements and tracking expenses.
  • Build and lead a team to execute business objectives and conduct performance development conversations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of maintenance equipment and procedures to ensure quality services.
  • Coordinate job-related activities by developing relationships with stakeholders and supporting business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and support the company's mission and values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Production/Operations Management or related field AND 1 year's experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
  • Associate's Degree or technical school certification in a related field AND 2 years' experience supervising employees.
  • 1 year's experience as a Walmart Logistics Maintenance Area Manager OR 3 years' supervisory experience in a maintenance/industrial-related environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with industrial warehouse maintenance processes such as preventative maintenance and project management.
  • Experience managing budgets and analyzing financial/operational data.
