About the position

In this role, you will lead the implementation of Process Improvement tools and methods, such as 5S, root cause analysis, six sigma, and time and motion studies, to eliminate losses within a Distribution Center. Utilizing the Walmart Performance System (WPS) programs, you will be responsible for delivering expected results in your functional area through Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analysis and loss elimination strategies. Your efforts will include creating standard work processes to reduce variation and assisting area managers with the review and response of process improvement projects. You will apply new network One Best Way playbooks and provide valuable input to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams regarding project ideation and replication opportunities. Your leadership will extend to managing savings projects within your area of responsibility, focusing on removing losses from processes. You will promote and support company policies, initiatives, procedures, and the overall mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. Additionally, you will assist in the tactical deployment of the WPS program methodology and manage the execution of projects targeting top losses in your functional area. Building the capability of other area managers and associates will be a key part of your role, as will supporting area loss profile analysis and performance metrics. You will develop gap analyses to support WPS integration and assist Department Managers with WPS programs, projects, and KPI improvements. Your responsibilities will also include coordinating and overseeing job-related activities by fostering relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, and promoting continuous learning and adaptability within your team. You will provide supervision and development opportunities for associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and ensuring diversity awareness. Compliance with company policies and procedures will be essential, as you implement action plans and provide guidance on ethical business practices. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 3 years' experience in Process Improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of Process or Value Stream Simulation.
  • Demonstrated project ownership resulting in sustainable, long-term savings.

Nice-to-haves

  • Process Improvement experience in a Total Performance Management environment.
