About the position

In this role, you will lead the implementation of Process Improvement tools and methods, such as 5S, root cause analysis, six sigma, and time and motion studies, to eliminate losses within a Distribution Center. Utilizing the Walmart Performance System (WPS) programs, you will be responsible for delivering expected results in your functional area through Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analysis and loss elimination strategies. Your efforts will include creating standard work processes to reduce variation and assisting area managers with the review and response of process improvement projects. You will apply new network One Best Way playbooks and provide valuable input to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams regarding project ideation and replication opportunities. As a leader in this position, you will spearhead savings projects aimed at removing losses from processes. You will promote and support company policies, initiatives, and standards of ethics and integrity while assisting with the tactical deployment of the WPS program methodology. Your responsibilities will also include managing the execution of projects targeting top losses in your functional area and building the capability of other area managers and associates. You will support area loss profile analysis and performance metrics, develop gap analyses to facilitate WPS integration, and assist Department Managers with WPS programs, projects, and KPI improvements. In addition to project management, you will coordinate and oversee job-related activities by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. This includes supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifying and communicating goals, building accountability, and measuring progress in achieving results. You will also provide supervision and development opportunities for associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and ensuring diversity awareness. Compliance with company policies and procedures is essential, and you will implement related action plans while utilizing the Open Door Policy to provide guidance on executing business processes and practices.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 3 years' experience in Process Improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of Process or Value Stream Simulation.
  • Demonstrated project ownership resulting in sustainable, long-term savings.
