About the position

The Manager II, Process Engineer - Supply Chain at Walmart is responsible for leading process improvement initiatives within a Distribution Center. This role focuses on utilizing various methodologies such as 5S, root cause analysis, and Six Sigma to eliminate losses and enhance operational efficiency. The manager will oversee project execution, support area managers, and ensure compliance with company policies while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and associate development.

Responsibilities

  • Leads Process Improvement tools and methods to eliminate losses in a Distribution Center.
  • Delivers expected functional area results through KPI analysis and loss elimination.
  • Assists with the review and response of process improvement projects owned by area managers.
  • Applies new network One Best Way playbooks and provides input to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams.
  • Leads savings projects within area of responsibility by taking loss out of the process.
  • Promotes and supports company policies, initiatives, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Assists with the tactical deployment of the WPS program methodology.
  • Manages project execution of top losses in the functional area.
  • Supports area loss profile analysis and performance metrics.
  • Develops gap analysis to support WPS integration.
  • Coordinates job-related activities and assignments by developing relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 3 years' experience in Process Improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of Process or Value Stream Simulation.
  • Demonstrated project ownership resulting in sustainable, long-term savings.

Nice-to-haves

  • Process Improvement experience in a Total Performance Management environment.
  • Six Sigma Certification.
