About the position

The position involves leading process improvement initiatives within a Distribution Center using Walmart Performance System (WPS) programs. The role focuses on eliminating losses through various methodologies such as 5S, root cause analysis, and Six Sigma, while delivering results through KPI analysis and standard work creation. The individual will manage project execution, support area managers, and promote company values and ethics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead process improvement tools and methods to eliminate losses in the Distribution Center.
  • Deliver expected functional area results through KPI analysis and loss elimination.
  • Assist with the review and response of process improvement projects owned by area managers.
  • Apply new network One Best Way playbooks and provide input to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams.
  • Lead savings projects within the area of responsibility.
  • Promote and support company policies, initiatives, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Assist with the tactical deployment of the WPS program methodology.
  • Manage project execution of top losses in the functional area.
  • Support area loss profile analysis and performance metrics.
  • Develop gap analysis to support WPS integration.
  • Support Department Managers with WPS programs and KPI improvements.
  • Coordinate and oversee job-related activities by developing relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 3 years' experience in Process Improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of Process or Value Stream Simulation.
  • Demonstrated project ownership resulting in sustainable, long-term savings.

Nice-to-haves

  • Process Improvement experience in a Total Performance Management environment.
  • Six Sigma Certification.
