About the position

The position focuses on promoting and supporting company policies and initiatives while leading process improvement efforts within a Distribution Center. The role involves utilizing various quality improvement tools and methodologies to eliminate quality losses and deviations, managing project execution, and assisting in the tactical deployment of the Quality Excellence program. The individual will also be responsible for developing performance metrics, conducting gap analyses, and supporting department managers in achieving key performance indicators (KPIs). Additionally, the role includes providing supervision and development opportunities for associates, ensuring compliance with company policies, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and support company policies, initiatives, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Lead process improvement tools and methods to eliminate quality losses and deviations.
  • Compile and submit deviations to existing One Best Way playbooks and provide input to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams.
  • Assist with the tactical deployment of the Quality Excellence WPS program methodology.
  • Manage project execution of top quality losses in the functional area.
  • Assist in building the capability of other area managers and associates.
  • Create area quality loss profile analysis and performance metrics.
  • Develop gap analysis to support WPS integration.
  • Lead quality-related savings projects within the area of responsibility.
  • Support department managers with WPS programs, projects, associate engagement, and KPI improvements.
  • Deliver expected functional area results through KPI analysis and loss elimination.
  • Assist with the review and response of quality-focused process improvement projects owned by area managers.
  • Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments by developing relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • 3 years' experience in Quality or Process Improvement.
  • Demonstrated project ownership resulting in sustainable, long-term savings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and analytical skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience building and implementing a Quality Management System.
  • Knowledge and application of Quality Management System elements including Statistical Process Control, FMEA, and Quality KPIs.
  • Quality Improvement experience in a Total Performance Management environment.
