About the position

The Member Team Lead at Walmart is responsible for assisting management in supervising associates within their designated area. This role involves training associates, ensuring compliance with company policies, and providing excellent member service. The Member Team Lead also plays a key role in promoting membership benefits and achieving sales goals while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist management with the supervision of associates by assigning duties and providing feedback.
  • Train associates on processes and procedures related to member service.
  • Resolve member complaints and issues according to company guidelines.
  • Communicate and support membership by providing information on membership types and benefits.
  • Process memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts, and encourage membership renewals.
  • Provide member service by assisting with purchasing decisions and transactions.
  • Oversee assigned area by handling claims and returns, and maintaining merchandise organization.
  • Complete accounting records and assist with financial transactions and investigations.
  • Develop and implement processes to meet business needs by collaborating with various stakeholders.
  • Promote compliance with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Lead and participate in teams to ensure work quality and timelines are met.

Requirements

  • 6 months of retail experience including operating front-end equipment (e.g., cash register).
  • 6 months of customer service experience.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience leading a front-end team.
  • Supervisory experience including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, and managing workloads.
