About the position

The Merchandising Lead at Walmart is responsible for providing exceptional member service, supervising associates, and ensuring the effective presentation and maintenance of merchandise on the sales floor. This role involves assisting members with their needs, training and guiding associates, managing inventory, and maintaining safety and compliance standards. The Merchandising Lead plays a crucial role in enhancing the shopping experience and supporting the overall operations of the store.

Responsibilities

  • Provides member service by acknowledging member needs and assisting with purchasing decisions.
  • Supervises associates by assigning duties, communicating goals, and providing training on processes and procedures.
  • Receives and stocks supplies and merchandise, organizing and maintaining the sales floor.
  • Conducts safety sweeps and ensures compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
  • Maintains merchandise presentation by handling claims, zoning areas, and organizing product displays.
  • Monitors food and merchandise quality, ensuring product rotation and sanitation standards are followed.
  • Oversees the picking and staging of club pick-up orders throughout the day.
  • Develops and implements processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers and analyzing information.
  • Promotes compliance with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Leads and participates in teams to coordinate work assignments and ensure quality and timelines are met.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 6 months retail experience.
  • 6 months customer service experience.
