About the position

The position involves leveraging data and digital literacy to enhance operational excellence, business acumen, environmental protection, risk management, asset protection, transportation operations, and process improvement. The role requires a strong understanding of data analytics, operational processes, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on delivering effective solutions and recommendations to improve business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Delineates problems, leverages data to determine root causes, and applies information to find solutions.
• Participates in the feedback loop between data intake and insights and works to improve the data collection process.
• Articulates the levers that influence data and ensures data quality.
• Organizes processes information for analysis and leverages visualization techniques to create dashboards for stakeholders.
• Identifies and proposes ways to automate/improve existing processes with technology.
• Documents business requirements for new technology solutions and develops prototypes to support technology-enabled solutions.
• Implements technology changes across multiple processes within the assigned area of work.
• Assesses situations based on departmental goals and operating issues, seeking guidance when necessary.
• Documents regulatory and reporting requirements and identifies safety hazards during operations processes.
• Provides recommendations to business stakeholders to solve complex business issues and develops business cases for projects.
• Operates tools for evaluating environmental impacts and supports regulatory visits and audit reports.
• Evaluates risk assessment models and establishes key risk management benchmarks.
• Proposes and implements security measures and coordinates investigations with law enforcement agencies.
• Delivers assessment reports for transportation loss control and ensures compliance with transportation regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety Management, Environmental Science, or related field AND 2 years' experience in Environmental, Health and Safety.
• 4 years' experience in Environmental, Health and Safety within Supply Chain, Retail, Manufacturing, or related field.
• 2 years' experience in Continuous Improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma.

Nice-to-haves

• 1 or More Degreed Certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist).
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
• Experience with SharePoint and OneDrive.
