About the position

The position involves overseeing operations within a logistics or distribution environment, focusing on achieving facility goals related to production, quality, and safety. The role requires effective communication with various stakeholders, implementation of business plans, and operational improvements. The manager will supervise associates, monitor compliance with company standards, and ensure resolution of concerns from associates, customers, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g. customers, suppliers, associates).
  • Drive and implement the business plan for area of responsibility to achieve facility goals (e.g., production, quality, safety).
  • Forecast staffing, workload and performance results to meet business demands.
  • Prepare, review, and/or analyze business reports to identify operational improvements.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with Logistics and company quality and safety standards.
  • Identify and resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns.
  • Supervise and manage associates and leaders in area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management).
  • 1 year's experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors.
  • Managing workload and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments/areas.
  • 3 years' experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors.
