About the position

The position involves overseeing operations within a logistics or distribution environment, focusing on achieving facility goals related to production, quality, and safety. The role requires effective communication, leadership, and the ability to implement operational improvements while ensuring compliance with company standards. The manager will supervise associates, drive performance results, and foster a culture of belonging and integrity within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates).
  • Drive and implement the business plan for area of responsibility to achieve facility goals (e.g., production, quality, safety).
  • Forecast staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze business reports to identify operational improvements.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with logistics and company quality and safety standards.
  • Resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns using judgment or consulting others when needed.
  • Supervise and manage associates and leaders by providing direction, monitoring performance, and offering feedback.
  • Identify training and development needs and provide opportunities for learning and growth.
  • Participate in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates, leaders, and managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management).
  • 1 year's experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors.
  • Managing workload and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments/areas.
  • 3 years' experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors.
