About the position

The Optician at Sam's Club is responsible for providing exceptional member service in the Optical area, assisting members with their purchasing decisions, and maintaining the presentation and organization of merchandise. This role involves operating cash registers, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures while promoting the company's products and services.

Responsibilities

• Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, and assisting with purchasing decisions.
• Maintain merchandise presentation by stocking, cleaning, and organizing product displays.
• Handle claims and returns, zone the area, and identify shrink and damages in the Optical area.
• Receive and stock merchandise, organizing the Optical area according to company procedures.
• Operate cash registers and related equipment, processing member purchases and assisting with payments, returns, and exchanges.
• Sell Optical products and services, assisting members with eyewear/contact lens orders and verifying prescription information.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in retail or customer service.

• Previous experience as an optician or in optical sales.
