About the position

The Optician at Sam's Club is responsible for providing exceptional member service in the Optical area, assisting with purchasing decisions, and maintaining merchandise presentation. This role involves operating cash registers, processing transactions, and ensuring the Optical area is organized and compliant with company policies. The Optician also sells Optical products and services, including measuring and adjusting frames and lenses, and performing optometric pre-tests.

Responsibilities

• Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, and assisting with purchasing decisions.
• Maintain merchandise presentation by stocking, cleaning, and organizing product displays.
• Ensure the Sales Floor in the Optical area is maintained according to company policies and procedures.
• Receive and stock merchandise in the Optical area, organizing and maintaining it according to company procedures.
• Operate cash registers and related equipment, processing member purchases and assisting with payments, returns, and exchanges.
• Sell Optical products and services by assisting members, measuring and adjusting frames, and completing eyewear orders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in retail or customer service.

Nice-to-haves

• Optician certification or license (if applicable).
• Experience in optical sales or services.
