About the position
The position involves providing member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues and concerns, and promoting the company's products and services. The role also includes maintaining merchandise presentation by stocking merchandise, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise appropriately, and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise. Additionally, the position requires maintaining the sales floor in the Optical area in accordance with company policies and procedures, handling claims and returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages. The employee will receive and stock merchandise in the Optical area, organize and maintain the area by following company procedures, utilizing equipment appropriately, merchandising, and completing required documentation. Operating hardware such as cash registers, processing member purchases, and assisting in payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges is also part of the job. The employee will sell Optical products and services by assisting members with purchasing decisions, measuring, adjusting, and repairing frames and lenses, completing eyewear/contact lens orders, identifying and verifying prescription information, and performing optometric pre-tests.
Responsibilities

- Assist with purchasing decisions and locate merchandise.

- Maintain merchandise presentation by stocking, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays.
- Remove damaged goods and sign and price merchandise appropriately.
- Secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
- Maintain the sales floor in the Optical area according to company policies.
- Handle claims and returns, zone the area, and organize merchandise.
- Receive and stock merchandise in the Optical area.
- Organize and maintain the Optical area by following company procedures.
- Operate cash registers and related equipment.
- Process member purchases and assist in payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges.
- Sell Optical products and services and assist members with purchasing decisions.
- Measure, adjust, and repair frames and lenses.
- Complete eyewear/contact lens orders and verify prescription information.
- Perform and record results of optometric pre-tests.
