About the position

The position at Sam's Club involves providing exceptional member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, and promoting the company's products and services. This involves assisting with processing prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) orders, stocking and securing pharmacy supplies, entering prescription information, and maintaining necessary documentation. The employee will also be responsible for receiving and stocking merchandise in the pharmacy area, organizing and maintaining the pharmacy area by following company procedures, and completing required paperwork and logs. Completing work assignments and priorities is essential, which includes using company policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers and co-workers, identifying priorities and deadlines, and communicating progress. The employee must comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, implementing related action plans and utilizing the Open Door Policy as needed. Responsibilities

  • Provide member service by acknowledging members and identifying their needs.
  • Assist members with purchasing decisions and locate merchandise.
  • Resolve issues and concerns raised by members.
  • Promote the company's products and services to members.
  • Operate cash registers and related equipment to process member purchases.
  • Assist in payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges using appropriate procedures.
  • Provide pharmacy products and services in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist with processing prescription and OTC orders and purchases.
  • Stock and secure pharmacy supplies and merchandise.
  • Enter prescription information and maintain required documentation.
  • Receive and stock merchandise in the pharmacy area.
  • Organize and maintain the pharmacy area following company procedures.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities using policies and resources.
  • Collaborate with managers, co-workers, and customers to identify priorities and deadlines.
  • Communicate progress and information regarding tasks and assignments.
  • Determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate cash registers and related equipment.
  • Experience in customer service or retail environment.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy products and services is preferred.
