About the position

At Sam's Club, the Member Service Associate plays a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our members. This position involves acknowledging members as they enter the store, identifying their needs, and assisting them with purchasing decisions. The associate will help locate merchandise, resolve any issues or concerns, and promote the company's products and services effectively. The role requires operating hardware such as cash registers and related equipment, processing member purchases, and assisting with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges, ensuring adherence to appropriate procedures for different membership and payment types. In addition to general member service, the associate will be responsible for providing pharmacy products and services in accordance with company policies. This includes assisting with the processing of prescription and over-the-counter orders, stocking and securing pharmacy supplies, entering prescription information, and maintaining necessary documentation. The associate will also receive and stock merchandise in the pharmacy area, ensuring that the area is organized and maintained according to company procedures. The Member Service Associate will complete work assignments by utilizing company policies, data, and resources. This involves collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners to identify priorities and deadlines, carrying out tasks, and communicating progress. The associate will also be expected to adapt to changes and learn from feedback, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate progress and information regarding tasks and improvements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate cash registers and related equipment.
  • Experience in customer service or retail environment is preferred.

  • Experience in pharmacy operations or healthcare services.
  • Knowledge of prescription processing and OTC products.
