About the position

As a Member Service Associate at Sam's Club, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our members. Your primary responsibility will be to acknowledge members as they enter the store, identify their needs, and assist them with their purchasing decisions. This includes locating merchandise, resolving any issues or concerns, and promoting the company's products and services. You will operate hardware such as cash registers and related equipment, processing member purchases efficiently and assisting with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to the appropriate procedures for different membership and payment types. In addition to general member service, you will be responsible for providing Pharmacy products and services in accordance with company policies. This includes assisting with the processing of prescription and over-the-counter orders, stocking and securing Pharmacy supplies, entering prescription information, and maintaining necessary paperwork and documentation. You will also receive and stock merchandise in the Pharmacy area, ensuring that it is organized and maintained according to company procedures. Your role will require you to complete work assignments and priorities by utilizing company policies, data, and resources. Collaboration with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners will be essential as you identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations. You will carry out tasks, communicate progress, and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities while adapting to changes and feedback. Compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity is crucial, and you will implement related action plans as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Acknowledge members and identify their needs.

  • Stock and secure Pharmacy supplies and merchandise.
  • Enter prescription information and maintain required documentation.
  • Receive and stock merchandise in the Pharmacy area.
  • Organize and maintain the Pharmacy area following company procedures.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities using policies and data.
  • Collaborate with managers, co-workers, and customers to meet expectations.
  • Communicate progress and recommend improvements.
  • Comply with company policies and standards of ethics.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate cash registers and related equipment.
  • Experience in customer service or retail environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Pharmacy operations or knowledge of Pharmacy products.
  • Familiarity with prescription processing procedures.
