About the position

As a Pharmacy Technician at Sam's Club, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our members. Your primary responsibility will be to assist members with their pharmacy needs, which includes processing prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) orders, stocking pharmacy supplies, and ensuring that the pharmacy area is organized and compliant with company policies. You will be expected to operate pharmacy-related hardware, such as cash registers, and assist members with their purchases, returns, and exchanges. Your role will also involve maintaining accurate records and documentation related to prescriptions and pharmacy operations. In addition to your pharmacy duties, you will be responsible for providing excellent member service by acknowledging their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, and resolving any issues or concerns they may have. You will collaborate with managers, co-workers, and other business partners to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Your ability to adapt to changes and learn from feedback will be essential in this fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, and assisting with purchasing decisions.
  • Operate hardware such as cash registers, process member purchases, and assist in payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges.
  • Assist with processing prescription and OTC orders and purchases in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Stock and secure pharmacy supplies and merchandise, and maintain the organization of the pharmacy area.
  • Complete and maintain paperwork, forms, and other required documentation related to pharmacy operations.
  • Collaborate with managers, co-workers, and other business partners to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Communicate progress and information regarding work assignments and improvement opportunities.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.

Requirements

  • Must be a certified pharmacy technician with relevant certification and training.
  • Ability to operate pharmacy-related hardware and software effectively.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with members and team members.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in processing prescriptions and maintaining records.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes.
