About the position

As a Member Service Associate at Sam's Club, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our members. Your primary responsibility will be to acknowledge members as they enter the store, identify their needs, and assist them with their purchasing decisions. This includes locating merchandise, resolving any issues or concerns, and promoting the company's products and services. You will operate hardware such as cash registers and related equipment, processing member purchases efficiently while assisting with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to the appropriate procedures for different membership and payment types. In addition to general member service, you will be responsible for providing Pharmacy products and services in accordance with company policies. This includes assisting with the processing of prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) orders, stocking and securing Pharmacy supplies, entering prescription information, and maintaining all required documentation. You will also receive and stock merchandise in the Pharmacy area, ensuring that it is organized and maintained according to company procedures. Your ability to complete work assignments and prioritize tasks will be essential, as you will need to collaborate with managers, co-workers, and customers to meet deadlines and expectations. Compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity is crucial in this role. You will implement related action plans and utilize the Open Door Policy to address any concerns. Responsibilities

  • Acknowledge members and identify their needs.
  • Assist members with purchasing decisions and locate merchandise.

  • Promote the company's products and services.
  • Operate cash registers and related equipment for processing member purchases.
  • Assist with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to procedures.
  • Provide Pharmacy products and services in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist with processing prescription and OTC orders and purchases.
  • Stock and secure Pharmacy supplies and merchandise.
  • Enter prescription information and maintain required documentation.
  • Receive and stock merchandise in the Pharmacy area.
  • Organize and maintain the Pharmacy area following company procedures.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities using policies and resources.
  • Collaborate with managers, co-workers, and customers to meet expectations.
  • Communicate progress and information regarding tasks and improvements.
  • Comply with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in retail or customer service is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a pharmacy setting is a plus.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy products and services.
