About the position

As a Pharmacy Technician at Sam's Club, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our members. Your primary responsibility will be to assist members by acknowledging their needs, helping them with purchasing decisions, and resolving any issues or concerns they may have. You will operate hardware such as cash registers and related equipment to process member purchases, handle payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges, ensuring that all procedures are followed according to different membership and payment types. In addition to member service, you will be responsible for providing pharmacy products and services in accordance with company policies. This includes assisting with the processing of prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) orders, stocking and securing pharmacy supplies, entering prescription information, and maintaining accurate paperwork and documentation. You will also receive and stock merchandise in the pharmacy area, ensuring that it is organized and maintained according to company procedures. Your role will require you to complete work assignments and priorities by utilizing company policies, data, and resources effectively. Collaboration with managers, co-workers, and customers will be essential as you identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations. You will be expected to communicate progress, recommend improvements, and adapt to changes and feedback in a dynamic work environment. Compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards is paramount, and you will be expected to implement related action plans and utilize the Open Door Policy as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide member service by acknowledging their needs and assisting with purchasing decisions.

  • Collaborate with managers, co-workers, and customers to identify priorities and deadlines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred.
  • Ability to operate cash registers and related equipment.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to resolve issues effectively.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy products and services.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a retail or pharmacy environment.
  • Familiarity with prescription processing and OTC products.
