About the position

At Sam's Club, the Member Service Associate plays a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our members. This position involves acknowledging members as they enter the store, identifying their needs, and assisting them with purchasing decisions. The associate will help locate merchandise, resolve any issues or concerns, and promote the company's products and services effectively. A significant part of the role includes operating hardware such as cash registers and related equipment, processing member purchases, and assisting with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges, ensuring that appropriate procedures are followed for different membership and payment types. In addition to general member service, the associate will provide pharmacy products and services in accordance with company policies. This includes assisting with the processing of prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) orders, stocking and securing pharmacy supplies, entering prescription information, and maintaining necessary paperwork and documentation. The associate will also be responsible for receiving and stocking merchandise in the pharmacy area, organizing and maintaining the pharmacy space, and ensuring compliance with company procedures. Sam's Club offers competitive pay along with performance-based bonus awards and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being of our associates. Health benefits include medical, vision, and dental coverage, while financial benefits encompass a 401(k) plan, stock purchase options, and company-paid life insurance. Paid time off benefits include PTO, parental leave, family care leave, bereavement leave, jury duty, and voting leave, with additional PTO or PPTO available for vacation, sick leave, and holidays. The amount of PTO received is dependent on job classification and length of employment, ensuring compliance with paid sick leave laws where applicable. Other benefits include short-term and long-term disability, company discounts, Military Leave Pay, and reimbursement for adoption and surrogacy expenses.
