About the position

As a Pharmacy Technician at Sam's Club, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy department. Your primary responsibilities will include processing member purchases through cash registers, maintaining merchandise presentation, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. You will be responsible for stocking and rotating merchandise, handling claims and returns, and monitoring the prescription fulfillment process. This position requires you to assist pharmacists in the prescription fulfillment process, which includes processing third-party insurance claims, assisting patients with their prescription orders, and maintaining accurate documentation. You will also be expected to provide excellent customer service by acknowledging member needs, initiating the prescription fulfillment process, and resolving any issues that may arise during the member's visit. In addition to these responsibilities, you will enter prescription data into pharmacy software, fill prescriptions accurately, and assist members during prescription pick-up. Your role will also involve completing work assignments by collaborating with managers and co-workers, identifying priorities, and adapting to changes in the work environment. Compliance with company policies and ethical standards is essential, and you will be expected to implement related action plans as part of your daily tasks. Responsibilities

• Process member purchases by operating cash registers and related hardware.
• Maintain merchandise presentation in the pharmacy by stocking and rotating merchandise and supplies.

Requirements

• Meets all state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician, including minimum age and certification.
• Must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB or NHA within 9 months of job entry.
