This position is based in North West Arkansas at our home office in Bentonville, Arkansas. The ideal candidate will have strong ML/AI (Python, SQL) experience and a proven track record with these tools. A working knowledge and understanding of the health and wellness domain is required. The role involves end-to-end data product development, where you will apply machine learning to solve real business problems and build data products that drive impact. In this role, you will be responsible for code development and testing, which requires knowledge of coding languages such as SQL, Java, C++, and Python, as well as various testing methods including static, dynamic, software composition analysis, and manual penetration testing. You will write code to develop the required solution and application features by determining the appropriate programming language and leveraging business, technical, and data requirements. Additionally, you will create test cases to review and validate the proposed solution design, create proofs of concept, test the code using the appropriate testing approach, and deploy software to production servers. You will also contribute to code documentation, maintain playbooks, and provide timely progress updates. The position requires strong analytical skills for problem formulation, where you will analyze business problems within your discipline and question assumptions to help identify root causes. You will need to identify and recommend approaches to resolve business problems, set relevant deliverables based on established success criteria, and define key metrics to measure progress and effectiveness of the solutions. Data source identification is another critical aspect of this role, requiring knowledge of functional business domains, categories of data, and database technologies. You will need to understand the priority order of requirements and service level agreements, define suitable data sources, and perform initial data quality checks on extracted data. You will also review the deliverables of junior associates and provide guidance on data source and quality. In terms of data strategy, you will need to understand the business value of data and apply principles of data management, quality standards, and governance to unique business problems. You will evaluate proposed business cases for projects and initiatives, translate business requirements into strategies, and drive the execution of deliverables. The role also involves data visualization, where you will need knowledge of visualization guidelines and best practices for complex data types, as well as multiple data visualization tools. You will generate appropriate graphical representations of data, understand customer requirements for data representation, and present insights to diverse audiences. Analytical modeling is another key responsibility, requiring knowledge of feature relevance, exploratory data analysis methods, and advanced statistical methods. You will select appropriate modeling techniques for complex problems, conduct exploratory data analysis, and create continuous model learning. Finally, you will be involved in model assessment and validation, model deployment and scaling, and ensuring the sustainability and maintenance of models over time. You will assist in creating innovative user interfaces and support the use of models through collaboration with key stakeholders. This position also includes supervisory responsibilities, where you will provide development opportunities for associates, promote company policies, and ensure business needs are met by evaluating the effectiveness of current plans and programs. You will foster a culture that supports learning, innovation, and collaboration, while delivering expected business results and maintaining a customer-first mindset.
