About the position

The Walmart eCommerce team is dedicated to building innovative products that facilitate seamless connections between Marketplace sellers and Walmart's global customer base. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with various teams including Strategy, Analytics, Product, Engineering, and Design to establish a clear vision and develop solutions aimed at expanding the Marketplace's reach to customers worldwide. Your primary focus will be on simplifying the experiences of both customers and sellers, ensuring that interactions are intuitive and enjoyable. This role is crucial in driving the expansion of eCommerce to a global audience while simultaneously assisting sellers in boosting their sales and reducing costs. You will be responsible for creating a world-class delivery network that provides customers with an experience akin to domestic eCommerce.

Responsibilities

  • Bring competitive insights to assortment/selection strategy on Walmart Marketplace.
  • Lead and define a comprehensive product strategy through a multi-pronged approach focused on seller and customer outcomes.
  • Design a framework for identifying assortment/selection gaps across various lines of business (1P/2P/3P) in collaboration with multiple teams.
  • Lead and define the product roadmap for initiatives that can deliver immediate impact while also focusing on foundational capabilities for future expansion opportunities.
  • Manage applicable system solutions for new features and ensure end-to-end ownership of solutions by collaborating with cross-functional groups including Data Science and Engineering teams.
  • Ensure critical business issues and core product strategies are addressed in product decisions; drive process changes based on feedback; and set standards for Product Manager deliverables.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to translate the product strategy into a product roadmap and engineering sprints.
  • Take features from ideation/exploration with customers to full launch and rollout, including marketing plans and field enablement.
  • Work in an agile and iterative team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related area.
  • 8 years' experience in product management, eCommerce, business strategy, or a related area.
  • 5 years' experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) for generating business/product documents.
  • Basic to intermediate skills with analytics tools (SQL, Python, R).

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in business administration or a related area.
  • Business consulting experience in eCommerce, category merchandising, retail operations, or a related area.
  • 10+ years' experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, complex B2B/C products.
  • Experience in Cross Border Supply Chain.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of creating inclusive digital experiences and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards.
