About the position

Global Tech is seeking a talented Principal UX Designer to join our Corporate Affairs and Leverage Tech (CALTech) UX Design team. As a member of the CALTech UX team, you will design digital products that provide exceptional experiences for associates. The digital tools we create enhance user capabilities, improve efficiency, and assist our colleagues in making data-informed decisions for their teams and the business. If you enjoy solving complex problems, operate with intention, deliver for the user, know how to build trust and strong relationships, and advocate for the success of the entire team, then our Principal UX Designer position could be the ideal fit for you. The ideal candidate is an expert UX/UI Designer who can plan UX deliverables, communicate design recommendations, execute design ideas, lead discussions, and manage stakeholder relationships. They should also be able to demonstrate how their designs positively impact business KPIs (key performance indicators). We are dedicated to making the preferred retail destination for consumers. We believe that great design is about more than just making things look good, and our team exemplifies this philosophy. We create beautiful, engaging, and accessible experiences for every user. Whether designing for traditional platforms or emerging channels, our design formula is simple; it is a space where intuitive usability produces satisfying results. This user-centric design approach is one of the reasons why customers return again and again. Our UX team supports the Corporate Affairs and Leverage Tech team within Enterprise Business Services. We build enterprise tools that digitally transform the user experience for associates in Global Communications and Global Responsibility. In this role, you will be responsible for the quality, consistency, and accuracy of multiple projects of varying complexity. You will communicate the impact of design decisions in business-friendly language, including quantitative metrics or business KPIs. You will influence cross-functional partners in Product, Business, and Engineering, advocating for the value of UX to non-designers. You will lead UX discovery, present discovery insights to stakeholders, validate use cases, and map business processes. Additionally, you will document the current and design the ideal architecture for multiple complex systems, leverage discovery insights to scope and plan project deliverables, and translate use cases into wireframes and prototypes in Figma, applying the design system to create accessible, usable, global products. You will also communicate the rationale for design decisions to project stakeholders and lead the hand-off documentation process for engineers.
