About the position

Epsilon is a leader in the Off-Site Construction (OSC) industry, delivering mechanical/electrical-centric systems in a modular, prefabricated form, optimized for a streamlined on-site completion by us or others. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be responsible for ensuring that all products meet quality standards and specifications. This role involves performing inspections, analyzing data, and collaborating with various departments to maintain the highest quality of our products.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical components, parts, and assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM), to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and work instructions to understand product requirements.
  • Identify and document any defects or deviations from standards, including recording data and generating reports.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues, suggesting adjustments to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and work on corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of defects.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring quality control systems, procedures, and documentation.
  • Perform audits on processes and products to verify consistency and adherence to quality standards.
  • Support calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records, logs, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Quality Assurance, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience in quality control, specifically in a mechanical or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring tools and interpreting mechanical drawings.
  • Knowledge of quality control standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in quality control (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Technician, Certified Mechanical Inspector) is a plus.
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and Lean manufacturing principles.
