About the position
The position involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in food preparation and serving areas, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and providing excellent customer service. The role requires preparing food, managing kitchen supplies, and supporting a positive dining experience for customers while adhering to company policies and values.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and clean food preparation areas, work surfaces, and serving areas according to company policies and procedures.
- Acquire food supplies and kitchen equipment by estimating future needs and organizing kitchen utensils.
- Perform customer service activities by greeting guests, responding to inquiries, and processing payments.
- Prepare food at the food preparation station by following recipes and handling kitchen equipment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety policies by checking product dating and cooking temperatures.
- Comply with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Complete work assignments by collaborating with managers and co-workers, identifying priorities, and communicating progress.
Requirements
- Obtain certified ServSafe Food Handler or related food safety certification within 45 days of hire.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in catering and restaurant operations.
- Commercial Cooking Food Services - ServSafe Certification.
