About the position

The Senior Director, Marketing Intelligence at Sam's Club is responsible for creating and implementing a framework to measure the impact of marketing investments across the organization. This role focuses on optimizing marketing performance through data-driven insights and collaboration with various teams, including Retail, Membership, and Ecommerce. The position aims to unify consumer marketing data and enhance decision-making processes related to marketing strategies and media investments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the framework for assessing and optimizing marketing performance across all channels and lines of business.
  • Lead development of marketing KPIs and frameworks tied to sales and commercial objectives.
  • Develop standardized reporting practices and dashboard requirements for marketing decision making.
  • Assess and implement tools for effective marketing data strategy and insights interpretation.
  • Steer the enablement and application of customer-driven capabilities in planning and media activation.
  • Provide marketing subject matter expertise with Finance teams for establishing commercial objectives.
  • Review channel activity and lead interpretation of marketing campaigns across the funnel.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and media agency partners to define objectives and optimize marketing strategies.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of marketing experience, with 7+ years in marketing analytics or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience managing teams with a proven track record of collaborative leadership.
  • Experience developing full-funnel, cross-channel measurement and insights tools.
  • Deep understanding of full-funnel marketing measurement and interpretation best practices.
  • Experience implementing new technology stack and data analytics across an enterprise.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Agency or client-side experience in marketing analytics.
  • Experience in matrixed organizations and ability to collaborate with non-directs.
  • Consulting experience.
  • Project Management Professional Certification.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
